Storyline: When Snake Wilson planned the job it appeared quite simple, a quick straight-forward jewel robbery which would leave him comfortably off for many years. The robbery is successful, but he and his accomplice are so anxious to escape quickly from the scene of the crime that they take the narrow, winding road at such speed that their stolen car plunges from it into a deep lake. His accomplice is dead and Wilson just manages to get out before drowning. Snake Wilson is loathe to let a fortune slip through his fingers so easily, so he takes up skin diving and returns some months later to collect his ill-gotten gains, which are guarded only by the decomposing body of his accomplice. The book moves swiftly to an exciting climax, which will make the hardiest reader's flesh creep. They may even chuckle here or there...!
