Blar Geal, a new atomic reactor station under construction in the remote highlands of Scotland, is the target of a determined gang of international sabateurs, whose cunningly laid plans slowly gather momentum and result in a terrific midnight battle inside the atom station itself-the climax of the book-before they are finally checkmated

First published in 1969 in Great Britain by Mayflower Books in paperback, 172pp, No ISBN. Original retail prices: UK: 5/-(25p); Australia 80c; NZ: 75c; South Africa: 60c.

Storyline/synopsis: Lieutenant Daniel Marr, D. S. C., ex-navy, is serving a three-year sentence for having been found with a packet of heroin in his cabin on a cargo boat. His pleas of innocence were to no avail. When, after 11 months, he is 'sprung' from jail by people he doesn't know (including among them a beautiful girl), he is asked to help them in a dangerous project that will give him command of an ex-German gunboat. This is scarcely better than languishing in jail-but at least it gives him to prove his own innocence...
