Restoree
The only hint of danger was a weird pungent smell; that and a dark shape looming over her. Then there were fragments of recollection so terrifying that her mind refused to accept them...intense heat and cold, pieces of dismembered bodies, rending screams. When she woke, she was in a different world-literally-with a face that was not her own. She had become a Restoree.

Decision at Doona
Doona was a planet as close to Paradise as could be imagined-endowed with placid lakes, cool streams, sweeping green fields and majestic mountains. The Hrrubans needed it to provide a decadent race with a new spirit of adventure and challenge. The Terrans needed it as a home for refugees from an impossibly overcrowded Earth. So both sent a colonising party; and soon both began to think of Doona as home

The Ship Who Sang
The body was hopelessly crippled, but the brain was perfect. So technology was put to rescuing the brain. It was placed in an environment that conditioned it to live in the fabricated body of a spaceship where it could act as a computer-infinitely more complex than anything previously devised. But the ships brain was more than a mere instrument; it possessed attributes no computer could reproduce-a personality, strengths, weaknesses, savagery, gentleness. The brain was that of a woman called Helva.
